Scholaships are based on scholastic achievement, community service and extracurricular activities. Candidate must meet the following eligibility requirements during the calendar year of application:
Candidate must be an immediate family member of a:
Current employee of HDC
Employee retired from HDC
Surviving spouse or domestic partner of an HDC employee or retiree
Immediate family members are:
Children/stepchildren (including the children of Dow-recognized domestic partners)
Legal wards
Spouses/Dow-recognized domestic partners
Grandchildren
Brothers/sisters
Candidate must be a:
High school senior
College freshman
College sophomore
College junior
High school candidates must be scholastically in the upper half of his/her class.
Candidate must have been accepted by an accredited college and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours or quarter system equivalent.
Scholarship applications are due by: Friday, March 7, 2025
Typically scholarship applications become available in late January or early February and are due by early March. Applicants are typically notified by late April or early May if they have been awarded a scholarship.
